hey peeps…it’s long and the audio sucks but it’s a live storage auction..i left a lot of the chatter in because if you listen carefully you can hear some of the sarcastic comments and the bickering that goes on out there…yes THE OTHERS are in the storage auction game..they are coming to a garage sale and a swap meet near you..i also had the pleasure of running into a super cool marine …i will ask anybody at a storage auction if they have anything for sale when they are at their sheds…they are either moving in or out or taking out stuff they want to get rid of….i did not show his face as he is a special ops guy…he is heading back to Afghanistan to continue the fight against terrorism..God bless that dood!! hey peeps..i got invited up to Orange County to meet Dan and Dave by a business associate of theirs..I will be introducing him in the coming weeks on my channel and website…i was given permission to shoot this video by Dave himself..THANKS to Lance, Leslie, Alex, Jeremiah, Dave, Dave Jr. Greg Tony and Dan!!..i’m extremely grateful to have been given this opportunity!!…it was hard to film with all that was going on and the aisles were FULL of people…i finally left there around 12:30!..ugh…i had a great time and made some awesome connections while i was there..and man these guys are HILARIOUS!…i got a few nice deals too!..i also got to add a few things to my ongoing education as well…you learn something new every day if you keep your head on a swivel! Let’s take a look at all the action. The art world can take heart. A Monet and a Rodin pulled in record prices at a Christie’s auction Tuesday, putting aside fears for now that the global credit crunch would crush art prices. The auction of Impressionist and Modern art reaped 277 million dollars. The highlight: Monet’s painting of this railroad bridge from his early period. “Le Pont du chemin de fer a Argenteuil” sold for .5 million, topping the previous high for a Monet by nearly million. Christie’s auctioneer Christopher Burge says this is the finest of the four bridge paintings done by the impressionist master. [Christopher Burge, Christie's Auctioneer]: “It’s very rare to get an 1870s Monet of this quality on the market and the result proved that tonight.” The hammer shattered records for Giacometti’s bronze sculpture of a standing woman. It pulled in 27 million, nine million more than the previous record. And this Rodin sculpture called “Eve” went for nearly 19 million, more than double the previous record. hey peeps…just a few nuggets i picked out from the auction..the trains went for SICK MONEY!! 500-600 for each lot…i did a ton of homework on the trains but i didn’t see the risk vs. reward..a lot of other things i could have done OK on, but if the spread was not there..i will never pony up the greenbacks to just to be buying… and trading dollars sucks! This is the first ever Bugatti Veyron to face an auction hall due to the fact that the previous owner of the rare hypercar lost everything due to the recession including his business, house and his prized Bugatti which Lloyds TSB are selling off at auction. I was lucky enough to attend this event held in BCA British Car Auctions in Blackbushe, Surrey. The sale was part of a number of prestige motors up for grabs including Ferrari F430s, 360s, Vantages, Vanquishs, DB9s etc… The car has only covered 13000klms from new and was registered in 2006 at Jack Barclay in London. The specification is the best I have ever seen on a Veyron, dark metallic blue body with silver wings complemented by a azzuro blue leather interior. A stunning car no less. I filmed the whole auction process so you can see how the starting bid of half a million soon ended up at the £625000 winning bid. A very intense and exciting few minutes I find personally.
