<p>Over the weekend I helped my in-laws at the auction of Floyd Nelson near Finlayson, Minnesota. Floyd had passed away in June of 2007. His loving wife, Carol, had passed three years earlier. Floyd was my wife&#8217;s uncle. He was a good man, husband, farmer and school bus driver. He and Carol had no children, hence, they had no one to take over the farm so it was put up for auction. It was sad to see a lifetime of labor, possessions and memories disappear at the strike of an auctioneer&#8217;s gavel.
