Do I need to register an auction based website like a business?

Author: We are making an auction based website. And I am wondering do I need to register it like a business with physical address and phone number? or rather to live like that.
Also we have second project more like news channel online.
Personally I got feeling that we need to register auction business. Cuz news its non profit organization that gonna have income just from adds and some commercials.
But I might be wrong and want to confirm it.

An online business is a business like any other. You have to register it, collect sales taxes and everything else associated with any other business.
